ASTM A53 is a carbon steel alloy that is used as structural steel or for low-pressure plumbing. ASTM A53 is one of the widely used standard specification for Steel Pipe which are used in the Oil and Gas as well as other process industries also. These ASTM A53 Gr. B pipes can bare pipes without any coating, or it may be Zinc-Coated or Hot-Dipped and manufactured by Welding or by a Seamless manufacturing process. ASTM A53 Gr. B Pipes have mechanical properties as yield strength of 240 and tensile strength of 415 bearing material arrangement as increments of 0.3 Carbon, 0.045 Sulfur, 0.05 Phosphorous, 12 Manganese, 0.15 Molybdenum, Cu, Ni and Cr 0.4 each. In Oil and Gas, these pipes are used in the structural and non-critical application. They are not used in hydrocarbon services or any services that involve pressure and temperature. Our ASTM A53 GR. B Pipes are available in different sizes ranging from NPS 1/8” to NPS 26” which is equivalent to DN 6 to DN 650. The weld seam of Grade B pipes is heat treated after welding to a minimum of 540 degree C.

Carbon Steel ASTM A53 Gr B Pipes

ASTM A53 pipe is intended for mechanical and pressure applications and is also acceptable for ordinary uses in steam, water, and gas and air lines. It is suitable for welding purpose and for forming operations involving bending, coiling and flanging, subject to certain qualifications. We perform a number of tests on our pipes to ensure high standard quality. The tests conducted are eddy current testing, hydrostatic testing or ultrasonic examination, NDT and also chemical and physical property inspection. Some of the other tests are chemical analysis, Mechanical test, Rockwell hardness test, chemical test, intergranular corrosion test, positive material test, flattening test, flaring test, and third-party inspection and so on.
