Nickel 200 is normally limited to service at temperatures below 600 degree F. Nickel 200 pipes comprise of 99 .6% pure nickel along with the most difficult metals. The Nickel 200’s features consist of superior mechanical properties, minimal gas content, lower vapor- stress, magnetic elements, and also higher thermal and electrical conductivity. These Nickel 200 products suffer from graphitization at high temperatures which results in severely compromised properties. When operating temperatures are expected to exceed 600 degree F, carbon content becomes critical. The melting point of these nickel 200 pipes are 2615 – 2635 degree F.
